Bojana Novakovic in "Devil" and "Edge of Darkness" |
Notably, Bojana Novakovic moved to Australia from Yugoslavia at the age of 7 and graduated from National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) with a degree in Performing Arts (Acting) in 2002. In "Drag Me to Hell", I first saw her in a form that did no justice to her reasonably good looks. She is Serbian and as per a few of my good friends, Serbian girls are very good looking. Bojana does not disappoint. Much.
She was nominated for one award and even one won. Don't jump for joy yet -- They are lesser known awards. Then, she got to act alongside Mel Gibson in "Edge of Darkness". Yes, she got blown away in the beginning, but was seen to be portraying a rather interesting part. (I am not cruel enough to call her performance 'abysmal'). What really interests me is Shymalan picking her for his movie, 'Devil'.
Again, I am not quite impressed with her performance as the lady in the lift. But look at the break she has gotten now. She has already been cast in 3 more movies and I am sure with lady luck leading her way, she will do just fine. I am not going to be able to prove conclusively whether she is lucky or talented -- one thing is for sure, I wouldn't mind watching her on the big screen.
So, good luck Bojana!
She might want to back out of doing something with Shymalan...just being honest.
ReplyDeleteoh.. You are not saying that Shyamalan is bad at what he does. Are you?
ReplyDeletehmm -- I think "Devil" is the best film Knight Shyamalan did not direct. He is credited for being a producer and story writer -- however having his presence surely must have helped the cause.
